Heating & Ventilation Contractors Association (HVCA)

We have been working hard this year as a team working towards joining the HVCA. After on site & office based inspections and assessments during the summer, we were delighted to be accepted into the association in August.
The HVCA was established in 1904 and is a trade association representing heating & plumbing contractors. The HVCA exists to promote excellence, fair dealing, professional service and the highest installation standards.
To keep these standards high, the HVCA re-assess and inspect all members every 2-3 years to make sure that they are meeting the associations requirements.
The HVCA helps you find reputable firms for repair, maintance & improvements to your home. As part of the HVCA we were avle to join the government backed Trustmark scheme. The government inspired Trustmark concept helps consumers to ensure that the trades people they employ in their homes are reliable, competent and capable of providing a quality service at a fair price.

Trustmark also offers its registered firms a genuine edge over the competition by offering third party proof that they work to standards that have been endorsed by the government.
All HVCA Trustmark registered firms that undertake gas work, like ourselves, are CORGI registered & also insured against injury to you and damage to your property.
The HVCA also offer a unique Double Guarantee. This means that when we install, replace, upgrade, extend or repair the plumbing or heating system in your home, you will automatically be covered by the HVCA’s Double Guarantee at No Additional Cost. This provides you with a comprehensive 2 year  guarantee covering workmanship, performance & deposit protection and a further 4 years protection against major damage to your home arising from the work.
The HVCA are so confiedent in our workmanship and service that they also protect you under the Double Guarantee in 2 other important ways.
If we fail to honour its contractual obligations, the HVCA will step in and meet the cost of putting things right.
If we should become insolvent or bankrupt or go into liquidation during the installation, the HVCA will arrange for the work to be completed at no additional cost to you.
The Double Guarantee applies to plumbing & heating systems installed with an installed value of up to £50,000

Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineers (I.P.H.E)

In 2006, Kevin Avery was also granted membership into the I.P.H.E. He under went assessments and inspections to again prove the high level of workmanship, service & professionalism offered by his company.
The Institute is a professional body for individuals. Its members are made up from people and not businesses from around the UK and beyond.
There are 3 corporate categories of membership for people working as plumbing/heating engineers. Only those who can probe their competence through recognised qualifications or extensive experience are permitted to join the Institute as a corporate member and display the I.P.H.E. logo.
Members agree to a five point Code of Professional Standards which is designed to uphold and improve the standards of plumbing & heating engineering.
